Summer 2020 trip canceled becuase of the pandemic. "In summer 2020 we are organizing "Poland & Germany: A Holocaust Journey," our seventh annual Poland and Berlin Study Abroad program and class, directed by Professor Judy LaPietra. The program will last from June 16-26 and will provide students an opportunity to study historical sites related to Holocaust history. It will focus on the richness and diversity of pre-war Jewish life in Germany and Poland and on the complex origins, history, and aftermath of the Holocaust. We will visit a range of authentic sites of learning and remembrance central to Holocaust history, including the Topography of Terror Museum, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Oskar Schindler’s factory, the former ghetto in Krakow, and the Sachsenhausen, Plaszow, and Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and death camps."
